Poem: Spirit

I seek guidance and help,
I keep you at piece of mind.

Take me where I need to go and be in life,
For me to keep, hold on, to move on, or wait within time that passes by me.

Emotions that rise high and low,
While I think with deep thoughts of today for tomorrow.

The unforeseen can be intimidating or scary,
When all you need is that small push or first step to the unknown.

The past and memories cannot fade,
As they are part of you no matter what is done now.

They may be good, bad, harsh, or painful,
Only one should stand out more than others.

The good helps to push forward of one self,
To better the spirit within the heart.

Patients can be worth the wait,
But tomorrow does not wait as time ages around you.
